hi,can anyone id pinto casting numbers cast in block? 35020 205 85 HM 6015-B-A ,THANKS
the only numbers I can help with are the 205 which means 2.0l with larger mains, usually injection, usually unleaded head.
The 85 means the casting was first used in 1985 which seems to be a contadiction with the 205!
The 1st 2 letters of the engine number tells u the yearmonth the engine was made

if its got a "205" mark like these:
Pinto - 205 block
pinto - 205 block
this its the later/stronger 2.0 injection type block (i.e you can bore it out to 2.1 safely and its got slightly stronger conrods)
and as above the 2 letters at the start of teh engine code will give you the date when you look it up here:

(its easier to ID them this way than with the casting numbers)

That is a casting number, not an engine number
