Some R1 engine mods.............
nitram38 - 22/4/08 at 11:10 AM

While I wait for my fuel tank so that I can weld on the final brackets on my chassis, I have done some R1 mods, ready for the evential re-planting in the chassis.
I have used the main oil gallery for my capillary gauge take off.
I am using the Durite adapter as recommended on here. The mail adapter sticking out screws into the durite one. I may remove it if I can get a male braided oil line with a 90 degree bend.
The pull clutch bracket was really simple as basically it is a flat plate which bolts on the existing gearbox casing.
If anyone else does this, remember to fit washers between the plate and the case as there is a recess for the bolts.
The lever on the clutch arm has been added to and extended so that I should get full clutch pedal travel instead of a short pedal with a stop.
I have also welded a 3/8" bsp boss into the top water outlet (before thermostat), courtesey of paddler20 (thanks) which is at the platers.
I am just heading off there in a minute to drop this plate in as well !!!!!!

I was wondering that too!

And where again did you get your motor from?

It was the only M6 available at the time!

Can't remember where, but it is a wilwood pull slave.

Here are the dimensions for the modified clutch lever if you want to go this route.
The extra long arm is welded on so that when you take up the freeplay it is at the correct angle for the slave.
The original arm is left on as it still used for the return spring. Rescued attachment clutch slave setup.jpg
