Just made my fuel tank out of Cardboard and Duct Tape.
How long will it hold petrol?
A mate of mine will be turning it into an aluminium one soon (magic!)
I had to make it fit in a tight space between the engine and the cockpit, but after measuring and doing some calculations, it should hold about 40
ltrs or about 10.5 gallons. (the chassis is upside down)
How far will an R1 bec go on 10.5 gallons?

road use i would say you will get about 15 mpg. (150miles)
heavy road use down to about 10 (100 miles)
track use will be down as low as 8 (80 miles)
How very carbon-neutral of you.
Dont want to be picky but if you're making the tank with a range in mind based on the number of gallons the tank can hold (I did with my custom
chop project) 40litres is 8.8 gallons not 10.5.
Might mean nothing to your project or a little rework of dimensions to gain the extra capacity??
Hoping that helped rather than jibed
