Right before i go and start cutting holes in the back plate. What do i have to use to fit a pipercross filter on a ZX9? No idea how to fit it so please help me before i do some damage.

Many thanks

Firstly I made a copy of the backplate so I could make more when I messed it up
I used the back of the original airbox as pictured. Cut the ally backplate to fit the seal (blue arrow) and attached the backplate using the threaded inserts (red arrows).
Thanks to Alex Roebuck for the picture....too dark to photograph mine

Dont know if this is to late, but make sure you keep it well back towards the battery tray, if you dont, the filter hits the begining of the bonnet scoop, like mine.

oh dear!! Already put it on now Will check for clearance now.

Oh CR*P! Bonnet sits on top of the whole filter!!!!! And i have a bulge! Do i just force the bonnet down on it or do i have to cut a big hole in the scoop?

Looks like i will be cutting a big hole!

It would look tidier if you cut the sides of the scoop and raise it a couple of inches.

It might fit if i use a pipercross box filter instead of a domed one as they are alot thinner.

Anyone want to buy a new domed pipercross filter?
