My poor car has been sitting in my garage now for about 2 months without being toouched! Ive just lost enthusiasm to do my bec conversion since the
pinto lump blew! Have stipped the wiring out and thats about it! help me get back in the mood!!!!
Whoevers got some vids of their bec (especially a 954blade) get them up on here to inspire me to get back into that cold room of mine!!

Its not too late to ask Santa for some enthusiasm for a Xmas Pressy
Its bloody cold out there... Buy of make a decent heater for the garage, get an old Radio (car or mains) and get some music going..
If you are warm with some decent music, Radar Love type of thing...
You will get your enthusiasm going.
Try to do a little, every day or every other day. Even if its rubbing adown a bracket and priming it, then painting it the next day type of thing.
Little and often will help get the job done.
You have time now to get it sorted for the spring / summer. Dont leave it till the last minute and rush it.
OR... I will give you £500 for it as it stands
Scary security warnings when I click those links? Odd?
this is me in my old zx9 locost.

jump to 3 minutes, i wipe out an elise just after that
If you don't get started I will beat you with my Zetec conversion.
My enthusiasm is coming from the fact that I have some spare time so can make real progress at the moment. And it gets me out of shopping, washing up
and eating too much over Christmas.
Just remember that if you don't work on it now, you will be working on it during the sunnier days in spring. You won't be able to turn the
clock back then and will wish you had tried harder.
COME ON MAN!!! GET ON WITH IT!!!
Could always organise a run out in mine if you fancy it...
Let me know.

no consolation but just finshed my conversion from the pinto. well worth the effort in the end. i forgot how fast these bec really are, keep going you will get there in the end.
DO NOT GIVE UP!!!!!
Trust me, we have all hit one of these phases at one time or another but it's worth the effort to have 10,000 RPM at your disposal - every time i
take mine out i am grinning like a fool for an hour afterwards.....
Sit looking at the car and make a list of all the tasks left to do,no matter how insignificant and then just hit one job at a time even if it's a
niff naff one. Then cross it off the list - it will soon encourage you to crack on as the list shrinks....
Well, it worked for me
Good luck,
Rich.

I know the feeling... I haven't really done anything on mine for about 4 months now, ever since I put an offer in on the new house with a big
garage. Now that I've moved I'm hoping I can get back at it and be SVA'd for summer.
Think of the sunny weather track days and get it finished!!!
it must be something to do with Didcot, i've not touched ine for at least a couple of months! must rstart things again in the new year
the noise !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have alook on our website - if you haven't already been to the video page...
Should whet your appetite!

My conversion took me 3 1/2 months start to finish, including welding outside in the snow as there wasn't room in the garage to make the
mounts!
Summer will be here soon.....
mine was one month between rip out and trackday, very easy really. Lets have a photo of how far you've got!
how about I dont have a car to build and her is a bit of my enthusiasm!
Try and blag a ride in one, that certainly helped renew my enthusiasm when I was building.
ah......those vids have helped! Jobs around the house are more appealing atm for some strange reason!! like tiling! huh???
I must do that list thats been suggested, as that sure did help speed things up when sva was being done!
JUD - would love a meet up to get a ride in yours!
Chris - ive still got that gas analyser of yours on my shelf! broke my phone and lost your number! (no excuse i know as your like 3 streets away from
me!lol)
like the zx9 bec joelp!
If you don't get it done, I'll come along in the night and borrow your kit for a very long time
It must be a Didcot thing, this side of the A34 we've not stopped working on ours (see pic below) just being hampered by the lack of Ali at the
mo.
I'll try a target, it would be good to get 5 cars to a local meet by June
ATB Dan.

No problems - just need a dry-ish day. Went out on Christmas Day a couple of times and it was very greasy - had a few moments. Needed to regulate the divers boots and take it a little steadier.
I am around until the 2nd then back to work, so it would need to be a weekend after that.
Cheers

We are in the process of sorting a meet in Northants on Sunday at 1pm. Check the thread:
http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/viewthread.php?tid=57704
I'll be taking the MK if it isn't raining, so we can sort your "billy run" if you fancy it?
Let me know.
Cheers

been busy getting back into it now this week! I can see light at the end of the tunnel.....somewhere far off!
heres a few pics of what the car is looking like atm!
aww c'mon man, that colour should inspire you...
Get it done...
its sorting out the existing loom thats annoying me atm! plus i have no bec prop yet, and no welder to weld a center support bracket when i do get
one! ah hell! one step at a time!
Ive been sorting out the wiring loom and figuring out what i can splice into the blades loom to get all the lights indicators etc to work. Writing my
plan down at the mo, so i know what to hit next! getting there!
an autoelectrician will charge you a days work.. its a worthwhile investment...
well it was when i was on a deadline anyway..

gman - ive worked out what needs doing now, so saved some cash from a sparky. next task is to work out whether to make a new tank or adapt the plastic
one i have to fit the blade fuel pump to it!
Ive just got petrol in my eyes removing the tank too! DAMN that hurts!
i had the plastic fuel tank using a 929 fireblade and fitted the fuel pump inside and had no problems with it.
