not convinced on that chassis triangulation, and its not a BEC...

But I suppose you could replace it with summat decent

darrenga - 1/11/06 at 04:19 PM

they were selling them in the supermarket in murcia spain, there were two different types.they were pretty cheap aswell about 3500 euros

That's Lawn Mower Engined Car.

Very popular in Kos, but sloooooooow!

Id love to build a version of that. I fancy making a modern fast commuter, something with 4wd and good clearance for when you feel the need to drive over obstacles (central reservations! ) but light and fast.

I still have full plans for the Pirhana sat on my desk.
Really fancy one but not much point unless it can be registered. I need to investigate this 'quadricycle' registration thing.

but once registered, can the motor be....err...'upgraded'

Bit like SVA your car with an old X-flow and then letting the new Busa turbo fall in, thus avoiding emmissions probs.

John.

G.Man - 3/11/06 at 06:22 AM

No as by changing the motor, you would breach quadricylce regs...

That doesnt happen in a crossflow to busa urbo locost engine swap

kikiturbo - 3/11/06 at 12:21 PM

on the subject of quads....I was thinking of registering my mid engine BEC as a quad, since in my country we do not have SVA regs as you brits do... and registereing a home made vehicle is much much tougher..
we have a reg that classifies quads as 4 wheel vehicles with less than 400 kg and less than 15 KW engine, so I was thinking of limiting my gsxR 1000 via the electronics fir the test.. ,.... that would do..
