Took the car to TTS today for jettng and tunning session.
car has come off the rollers with just a shade over 125BHP at the wheels but she is pulling very cleanly through the rev range from way down at
2000rpm in 5th gear which tops out at 120ph in 5th gear, quite a nice curve to it.
took it out on the road much better throttle response aswell.
who else has a blckbird did you get better bhp or is this about right???.
also fitted the new 7" can before the session full flow can is quiter but should help the performance aswell pic attached.
what next i suppose MORE POWER.
Cheers
Sean

How much did it cost? Did TTS supply the jet kit, as I'm looking at doing this with mine, since TTS are a quite fun 20 min drive from home.
I had a bit more than that but i will defo have less transmission loss as its chain driven, no prop, diff etc........ well ok a diff but not one that
turns 90*
"pulls well from 2000rpm" smack in the gob too all those that tell us you have too rev the nuts off too make em move ?
Nice one
hi - which roller did you use at TTS? Was it the Dynojet one nearest the entrance or the other one towards the back of the room? My carbed R1 made 125 BHP at the wheels on the Dynojet roller a week ago.
Yes the dyno close to the door.
they have fixed the other dyno but looked like it may get probs grounding out once on the rollers so had to switch.
price was £100 for the rolling road tunning cash.
Yes Jon quite correct my car drives extremly well on the road, he put it in 5th gear and let it run down to 2000rpm then floored it pulled wright to
the red line no probs or spluttering and the curve was consistent right through the range with good air/fuel mixture until around 10k then it starts
to run down a little.
running a 3:38 diff so 120mph in 5th was good with a gear to go.
happy days but want more power now.
i fitted the kit but they can supply it is around £100 and then you have the air filter to consider. also around the £100 mark, gives you a base
figure to work with,

I already have a piperX filter, but have no idea if that means it's already been jetted or not! Nor do I know enough about bike carbs to take them apart and check.
they can fit the kit with new needles and jets.
the jet size will depend on the back pressure from the exhaust.
i had 140 jets in but was replaced with 136.
standard jets are 142 & 145.
just drop of the carb bottoms i think 3/4 screws and the main jet is in there flat head screw driver to take out. the size is written on the side of
it.
Cheers for that, I'll have a look tomorrow. Unless I'm out going sideways! I wish I'd known you were about, we could've meet up for a chat/drink/drive as I only live 15 mins from TTS.
to diy si
how did you get on with the jets ok i hope???
will have to catch up at some point next show is Snetterton are you visiting failing that its donnington in sept.
cheers sean.
ps ask for richard at tts if pay pound notes will be cheaper.
