running a pipercross filter what should i do with the airbox sensor??

G.Man - 22/7/06 at 06:54 PM

put it in the filter area

it senses the air in the airbox, whatever airbox type you use...

cheers a simple fix for a change!!

ChrisGamlin - 22/7/06 at 08:54 PM

Yep, I just drilled a hole through the filter back plate and mounted it in there.

How did you hold it in place. I was thinking of mastik or something like that (I don't have any nuts with that thread)

ChrisGamlin - 22/7/06 at 10:45 PM

I think I found a suitably sized nut but Araldited it in place so if it ever came loose it couldnt find its way down one of the inlets, but I can't honestly remember.

Yep here you go

ITG Backplate on 2003 R1 - 1

I might have even extracted the nut out of the airbox itself, I assume it was probably moulded into the plastic?

IIRC it's the same threat / size of o Ford wheel nut (M12 x 1.5?)

Cheers

I've still got the airbox so I'll shred it and claim the nut.

I have also used a wheel nut from Ford and cut it in half - but remember to use a lockingwasher!!
