Has anyone fitted a Translogic gear display unit. I seem to have it installed exactly as per instructions, it set sets up perfect but I can only get it to display 1st or 2nd and neutral and then not at the correct times.

I've got the same unit, sounds like the same symptoms.
I've emailed translogic and awaiting their response.

I did notice that the same module fitted to fluke motorsports wr1c did exactly the same in their Barbados videos...
