Couple of photos of my sump now it has been chopped by my cousin.. took two months for him to do but all it cost was a bottle of whisky!
got a windage plate as well and going to fit an accusump for good measure fitted directly to the oil gallery where the pressure switch is fitted..
this is quite large bore and on the right side of the pump.

hey andy

i should be wizzing round with that fazer engine you sold me by the end of this month, buzzing i can't wait
Sump looks almost identical to ours. Are you gonna fit baffle plates?
Phil
Hi George.
Hope it all goes ok.. as i said any problems give me a ring or e-mail... somtimes wish I had just kept the fazer as am not sure that this engine is
the best.. have had a lot of problems with it.
Phil - yes a straight copy from your photos! no point re-inventing things!

Andy, before you bolt the sump back on, it's definitely worth checking that the mating face hasn't warped ever so slightly through the heat
of welding.
Phil
How deep is your sump. I was going to do mine this weekend. Am I right in thinking that I have to cut it off just below the refenforcment ribs.
Carl
80mm from sump top face to cut.. When he welded it clamped it up to a flat surface but it has still distorted a fraction.. it has tightened up ok though
Ours bolted up OK at first but after a bit of use developed a small leak. To remedy, we removed the sump and used some grinding paste on a sheet of
glass to grind the sump mating face flat. Took an hour or so to do but turned out great.
Phil
Great tip!!!!!!!!!!! I just need to remove the kitchen window.
Carl
hope you get it all sorted, i'm sure you will, looking at the job you did with the fazer, fantastic fit and well laid out
