Can some-one with an MK R1 indy chassis please give me these 2 measurements as it's driving me even more mental than I already am. B is to the
centre of the mount. Should be able to line the engine up from those

Can't give you any specific measurements cos i dont own an indy or an R1 engine, but my advice would be mount as far back as possible
and line the sprocket adapter up with the centre of the tunnel, have a look at this picture of my ZX9 from above, it might help.

Just nipped into the garage to look, and its impossible to line the prop adapter up central to the tunnel. basically the engine is as far left as is
physically possible without touching the head on the top left chassis rail, this leaves the prop adapter slightly right of the tunnel centre line.
Prop adapter is set at 90 degrees to centre line of car

Bit more info, cylinder head on mine is 15mm from top chassis rail (at front corner) and the generator cover is 10mm from passenger footwell and centre of prop adapter is 55mm to right of tunnel centre line.
Good luck

mad-butcher - 3/3/06 at 12:26 PMThanks for that, yours is one of the ones I've studied in great detail looking for inspiration. Hopefully with those key measurements and studying the photos of the way you guys have made the cradle we'll get there in the end. what makes it harder is the blade rocker cover is parallel to the top rail all very confusing these engine angles
