Fitted my R1 engine over the weekend but came stuck when connecting the gear cable - there's no bracket to hold the "outer" so that
when you push the gear lever, you just move the outer, not the gears.
I will need to make a bracket, whcich shouldn't be too hard if I can make it out of aluminium. How strong does it need to be? Is there much
force needed to change gears on an R1? Can it be safely mounted to the aluminium plate at the front of my foot well or do I need to route it near a
steel crossmember?
you will need one of these
will send you one when we send you some more rack extensions, although you had the last pair and the next lot have not arrived from the cnc place
will let you know when they come back in stock
Rescued attachment gear-cable-bracket.jpg
Thanks Marc.
i think i'll be needing one of those too!
(unless just the one on my transmission tunnel will suffice?)
