Hi guys,
Has anyone got an idea where i can get a 90 degree tip to fit on the end of my R1 can from? I believe it's a 2" diamenter. It's
currently got a 45 degree fitted and it's blowing on the rear arch and melting my arch protector. Ideally with a rolled end, but without will
also work.
Weldable with an arc welder would be handy too.
Cheers
I used one of these 90 degree Mandrel Bend Stainless Steel 50mm 2 inch
Description
I just pushed it in with RTV exhaust sealant, and held it in with a screw from the back.
1800 miles later and it's still there and doesn't leak
excellent - thanks for the tip. I'll give that a go.
You can weld early R1cans, later ones are titanium so you will struggle. The push and screw is starting to look favourite.
These are very restrictive cans BTW

I bought a second can to give me two hangers and two front end caps. I removed the rear angled end cap by drilling out the rivets and also removed the
inner end cap. This is titanium but behind this the internals were steel. I cut off the 45 degree steel stub and replaced it with a large diameter 45
degree bend that I had slash cut. I then slid a front cap over it and riveted it on.
You could do the same with a 90 bend.
