It's something i thought about after Matt at procomp pointed out my lower bones had slightly bent, a bit late now to add the support i guess
the first picture is how i'd have them mounted, so the bearing is being pulled against the face in the cup, rather than the circlip if you have
them the other way.
my bones have the pushrod mounting on the underside, opposite to yours and the circlip is facing down
hope that makes sense

slightly off topic, did you use the original mounting bolts for the ZZR14?
i've got my engine now,
i'm just sorting out how to mount it and get the right angle for the prop!

hi yes used the original bolts on top didnt have the bottom one but would in my opionion be easier if used the original bolts,
they have the alen head so you tighten it up against the cradele easier to get engine in and out,.
cheers and good luck
circlip should be on underside of bottom wishbone, should it not?
and do any other wishbones have extra braces like these?

hi
i have them turned upside down in pic circlip is underneath this ,
but dosn't seat very will into the resess it has inside the collar,
not sure on other manufacturers on how they do this,
dax have a very strong A arm with a V support under the wishbone that the shock mounts to,
do you think they should be this way up as in pic or with the mounting underneath???
any pics
cheers
Seems like it would be better having them the way they are in the pic. If the circlip was on top then the weight of the car will be trying to pull the ball joint and circlip out of the housing. However, it looks like your reinforcing brackets could foul the upright, and ride height will be increased with the shock mount above rather than below the wishbone.
yes on ride height so will have to shorten the push rods to compensate,
will be fitting them tommo so will see if foul upright, may need some triming down, mr grinder to the rescue,
as you say better this way up but may not clear upright??
cheers anyway
