From where can I get a speed sensor for my 893 Blade engine? The clocks are from teh bike. Is there anything out there that fits my set-up?
Cheers
Is your speedo correct?
Early ones were driven by a cable so no good.
Does your engine have the speedo drive sensor above the gearbox?
If yes to both then you have the minimum you need and could connect them with a speedo-healer type device

The 893 blades had a speedo sensor which picked up from the head of the sprocket bolt. None of them were mechanically cable driven. The sensor can be
adapted to run on the diff output flange connected to a speedohealer.
There's a few available
here on
E-bay

The picture below shows how it can be adapted to run on the diff output. It's not easy to explain but basically the pickup wheel is covered with
rubber and mounted on a sprung scissor type bracket to keep it in contact with the diff output flange.
The photo below was a prototype that we manufactured but it worked so well, we decided to fix it permanently.

The very early blades did have a front wheel driven cable speedo, I know I broke it for my engine.
I stand corrected on the gearbox sensor this was not on the 893 but the wheel type that Hellfire used as qabove.
The gearbox type is like this
speedsensor2
This is my initial design. Which finished is still on today
If you want a wheel type one, I have one spare, €15 but postage may me prohibitive, about €10

Thanks for your input.
I have the original sensor from the bike but I thought I could fix a simple sensor that pick up from the bolt of the prop shaft
(inductive maybe). Is there anything out on the market?
If you have the original, is it the wheel type as described by Hellfire?this is probably not modifiable as it is quite a sealed unit.
If its the gearbox one as per my picture it will pick up bolt heads OK
