Well, after much scratching of beards, and plenty of checking all the wiring, I finally got my engine running (it needed a good charge of the battery,
and a new can of fuel).
Here are some of the pictures (and a very smiley me)....
The first is me faffing around trying to figure out why it wouldn't work.
Why will it still not work?
Finally got the engine running, and moved the car under its own steam....
She works!
And finally, this morning I took it for a brief run down our 'private road'.... Link to youtube
here.
Below are a few more update pictures. I have now completed the dashboard, and made myself a carbon fibre airbox (which looks like a travel/vanity
case!) to eliminate some of the induction roar. I havce also fitted one of the two side panels on, and bent the 2nd in place. I have fitted the
propshaft (hence the drive), and even found time to get the speedo (Koso) reading the speed from the propshaft.
Happy me - she moves!

Progress as of 01/01/09
I'm still pushing hard for SVA before the dreaded IVA comes into play. I am happy with progress at the moment (althought the Mrs is fed up!).
Who set the headlights - Marty Feldman?
Looks really nice build, good feeling the first drive. Love the minilites.

YQUSTA
start/stop panel should be ok
its within the exemption zone..
117mm from edge of steering wheel i think..
Thanks for all of the comments. Much appreciated.
All of the switchgear should be within the exempt zone. More of a concern to me, is the area under the dash, which I was hoping to cover for SVA, but
I might end up just padding everything instead....
