spare wheel?

Hi i was thinking about making a spare
wheel carrier has anyone made one for the tiger avon i was going to do it after the sva test .Some pixs or some drawrings
would be nice. And i what is the best to use round or square tubing?

Not constructive towards your actual question but do you really want to carry a spare? It's extra weight, and looks a bit....um....retro?

I'm happy with a can of tyreweld and the AA on the end of the phone.

I fitted one to the back of mine... Recon it'll need all the weight on the back it can get !!!!

Love the look of them with a nice shiny spare alloy on the back.

Used round tubing, bent it round the tyre so it sat in snuggly. Need some way of securing it.

Plus it'll be one more thing between you and a rear ending tin top !!!

Instead of a cradle frame, I have made a sort of "top hat" shape
that bolts through the body sheet to the chassis frame.
A couple of wheel studs in the end allow the spare wheel to be
bolted on using a nut and a locking nut.

The pic shows it fitted to the car without the body sheet.

I think the back of a seven looks better with a spare.
A bit bare without IMHO.

pix looks good but is it me the wheel is not in the center it is a bit to the left.
