HELP - Fitting Avon Wipers!
Chaps,
I started to fit my Avon wipers over the bank holiday and then realised I had too many questions!
I didn't build my Avon so I don't have the book. Does anyone have the pages from the book they could photocopy, scan and then post on
here?
The things I need to know are:
1) Where is the suggested motor location?
2) Where should the wipers come out on the scuttle (pic's would help)?
3) Does the motor 'push' or 'pull' as its first movement (I have the Tiger kit)?
4) Which way up does the wiper box fit (pic attached, is it the longer part at the top or bottom (this affects which way the wipers move on first
movement)?
5) Do the wiper arms need to be cut down, how is this suggested?
6) Do the wiper blades need to be cut down, how is this suggested?
7) Anything else that might help me!

Hi,
the book doesn't give any helpful details on installing the units. I didn't get the tiger kit i used a mini setup which i believe is the
same.
The wiper motor fits on the passenger side and the tubes run to the top of the wiper boxes.
The wipers wipe from passenger side to driver side
I bought wiper arms and blades that were the correct length so not sure about cutting what you have.
I can take measurements and photos on my car if that might help

Pictures and measurements would be great thanks.
I was going to mount the wiper motor on the passenger side as you said (on the bolts that hold the screen upright on). My concern is that I only get
one chance to drill the scuttle!

Here are some pics. more in my archive
The wiper boxes are 12" (300mm) apart and the passenger side is about 45mm off centre
