That looks awesome mate - well done.

Good choice painting the rear arches a different colour.

Its just an optical illusion. Mine is the same as most Avons in that it sits just below top of the scuttle.
My dash extends above the scuttle to meet the aeroscreen (didn't want a visible gap between the top of the scuttle and 'screen) which is why it is so deep. I actually cut out the top of the scuttle around the fuel gauge to allow it to be positioned higher on the dash.

thanks for all other's positive comments btw.

Ed,
Just been looking in your photo archive and noticed you have same pedal box cover as me.
How did you fix it in place?

Andy.

Will try photos tomorrow. I used some HOmebase L bracket fixings - two on the horizontal towards the middle of the car, one against the GRP scuttle front on the outside, rivetted in. Then SIkaflex round the whole outside. The screw on cover doen't fit perfectly, mostly because my pedal box sits just slightly above the cover - not sure why I couldn't persuaude it flat

No, I bought it off a guy who was making them on the Tigerownersclub forum (username 'Chenti'
Genuine carbon fibre rather than the imitation Tiger one.
However, I'm not sure if he still makes them (he hasn't posted on there for a while)

I'm getting married tomorrow meaning giving plenty of attention to my beloved next week and so no car building!!
So, having had this week off to sort out last minute glitches etc. I have also managed to cram in some quality build time. Hence I have finally managed to paint the rest of the bodywork (though it needs flatting and polishing) and have fitted all the lights bar front indicators.
Anyway here's some more pics of completed bodywork etc. for everyone's perusal...

Stunning!
Any tips on painting like that, particularly masking the bonnet and nose stripe? PLanned to do something very similar.
Though possibly now not till after SVA, desperate to get on the road
