Brakes!
studon - 3/2/05 at 10:26 PM

I am now ready to fill the system with brake fluid
having now sussed the rear brake calipers (Ta Steve!)
Has anyone had issue with the machined 'plunger' that Tiger supply? I have fitted it as is. I am just concerned before I waste time and brake fluid that maybe it wont work? has any body out there had problems with it? do I need to modify it in any way? or is it one of the rare parts that does not need to be fiddled with?

If you're talking about the plastic plunger on the rear brake back plates, I just cut mine right down and pushed them back in.

if your talking about the plunger from the brake peddle to the master cylinder . with mine i took a fraction off of the fwd end with some emery paper and at the peddle end i used a self centering nut as a stop ,this is because the peddle moves in an arc and the plunger moves in a straight line . i can post photo if my explanation has got confused in the translation.

I got the white plastic "bead" off the SIerra plunger (I take it you mean the master cylinder push rod).

Yep.
sorry I was not that clear..
I do mean the push rod into the master cylinder

Yep, the white bead from the Sierra one is the one to use - you just have to make the hole a little bigger.
