hope someone can help i have a 2.0 EFI pinto i have removed the inj/unit and put on carbs on i was going to put the alternator (lucus 101) on but the bracket looks to big has smeone dune this and what was dune pictures if poss thanks.

I don't know about the space available in an avon, but the sierra alternator would not fit in my book chassis. I fitted a Kia Pride unit, with a bespoke lower bracket and the kia upper bracket inverted. It works fine and if you fit the same as me, you will need a 813mm belt

is the alternator easy to get hold of

The brackets come from any steel sockholder - just ask for 3mm plate!


The alternator is easy to get hold of, there aremore prides in the scrappies than out of them. The pride is the same as an early Mazda 121, so other Mazdas may be similar
