I,ll try again
Am I being stupid
I have just dropped in my 2.0L Pinto into the MK Indy. But I am having difficulty with the gearbox mount.... I have got the Westfield mount and I am
assuming that the 'V' side of the mount mounts against the gearbox.... then does the mount sit on top of the welded strips on the chassis
(which I had to widen) if so then the gearbox is too high... if the mount fits to the underside then the mount does not have a flat area to sit
against the chassis
I am I missing something simple
Please help

This was the case on KrisMc's MNR using the westfield G'box mount. With the mount on top of the Chassis plate the prop was at a stupid
downward angle.
Had to cut out the original plate then bolt one up from underneath the chassis the put the mount on top of that. it lowered the Gearbox about an inch
(size of the chassis tube) which was ideal.

BTW The bottom of the mount is slightly rounded up at the front/back and sides.

The MK chassis mounting point needs modification to use the Westy mount.
The standard Sierra mount sits in a steel / rubber cradle which drops the gearbox by a couple of inches over the Westy mount .
You'll need to fabricate some bracketery or make some spacers to use it.
I used long bots, a piece of plate and some studding connectors as spacers.
[I had intended this to be temporary until I had proved the standard gearbox mount was causing the prop to knock, though it seems to work OK so
haven't got round to changing it yet]
