Wow - looks like he's got quite an attitude.
Is he a Devon whatsit?
Cheers,

Close, he's a Sphynx, but not too far from a Devon Rex

Wonderful looking fella. I am allergic to cats but love them to bits I was hoping a Rex (or similar breed) would be ok for me but I was told that
despite being ..... erm well bald they would still be a problem. Do you know if this is true?
Cheers,
Raz

You b@stards!
Who shaved it?
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

This one's been shaved, a lion trim I think and you can see how pleased he is with the result on his cheerful little face.

quck googling seems to indicate it s a protein in the saliva that causes the problem so when a cat grooms itself, it will leave this on its fur (or
skin in case of hairless cats).
Presumable since sphinx and rex to some extent have less fur these is less of it.
Some breeds are better, in particular the Siberian (which incidentally I've not heard of) and Abyssynian are better for suffers. Maine Coon
gets a mention too. (seem to recall the Bangal, like mine, but may be wrong on that one).
