GT1 in Le Mans
Well it made it to Le Mans that was its 1ST test drive other than going to SVA for retest on the tuesday registered on the thursday went to Le Mans on
the Sunday.Car didnt miss a beat it was 35 degrees sweltering hot didnt overheat or anything it did 40 to the gallon and criusied realy well 70mph at
5500 rpm.Im well chuffed at how it performed out of the box.Feels a lot different to my 1200 cc triumph daytona engined Indy I had before.Steering is
quicker has self centreing action, and feels like it stuck on rails round corners although it not setup yet,so think theres plenty to come.
Have attached an image of it in Le Mans not Sure how to do it,so if it dosnt come out check my photo Archive.

Well done Simon.
Some shake down trip!!
Great that you had no problems.
Are you planning to come down to Brands Hatch for the kit car do in September?
Also, can you share the secret of how you have done your handbrake?
Cheers
Mike

Well done mate!
I've driven the GT1 and the GTR and they are completely different to an Indy.
Out of curiosity only what are the headlights from,or the pods anyway. They look a bit Leyland/DAF lorry turned vertical to me.
It was 1984 when i went to Le Mans,God I feel old(I was only 20)Must go again!

Were you over there with a GT40? On the sunday i saw a white GT1 just behind a white GT40 pulling into the Buffalo grill car park. Would have said
hello but you looked a bit busy driving!

When i finally got stuck in the build took about about 3 months,as it sat in the garage for quite a while due to 2 young children, theres still a bit
to do yet even though its on the road, new dash better interior trim, rear wing, rear diffuser front corner splitters, fair in headlights, paint car as
well, small wind deflector screen, but going to use the car until september as it is then taking off road and finishing all the above.
