exhaust touching sidepanel??

Hey all, jus wondering if my mk exhaust is made wrong. When the connecting pipe is connected to the mani, and the box to the connector pipe, it doesnt run parallel with the sidepanel. Instead it touches the angular bit below the scuttle line and sits way out.

Hope u understand that, i just about do

Jay,
Have a read of the link below. I got the manifold way (6 months or so) before I got the silencer, and by the time I did get the silencer the design had changed. http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/viewthread.php?tid=11789

Does your's look at all like that? The silencer/exhaust should not touch the GRP. Any chance you can take a pic of what's going on?

All the best

Ali
