MK Engineering's F600
Popped in at Mk Engineering today, had a chat with martin and looked round the latest project he has going, also watched one of the video's from
the prototype's 1st outing, iirc he managed a win in his class race.
Looks really tempting and then too find out it only cost's £6 entry, and then £3 to race, a full days racing for £9 makes trackdays look like an
expensive holiday
Thought i'd ask a bit more, with too much on at the minute i can't commit to a fun car in the near future, but Martin tells me they have
plans for busa powered machines and also a V-twin road legal version, could imagine these being great fun for a bit of blast round a field and then a
steady drive home on the road, Be good if some of the tracks opened up for Autocross trackdays too (Lyden,Cadwell,Blyton etc
If Martin had been building these a few years back, i think i would have had one by now.

That is seriously cheap racing! Sadly the F600 series seems to be based at the other end of the country.

Martin certainly keeps himself busy developing stuff!
I like that a lot and could see it being a fun summer road hack too

Nottingham, old amen corner track complete with tree was my home club.
Traveled well, Lincoln, White Rose when they where at penninstone, Trent, Scunthorpe who are now back in the same place, Cambridge, blue bell at
skeggy, the list goes on.
The 1st photo is a class 8 with a mini engine in back, bike engines where just breaking into the sport as I left, the second 2 are the same chassis,
rover v8 and pinto, the pinto gave way for a cosworth then later V8.
I loved the sport but there was a lot of money in it those days to be anywhere near competitive, I think it's got worse since, and whilst entry
fees are low you dont see a lot of track time.
Got some great memories, one that springs to mind was at "fastest man on grass" at Lincoln, do they Still run that meeting ? I entered the
devil takes the hindemost race, was in class 10 at the time so started on the back row of a 20 car grid with the last car on each lap been flagged
off, won the race can't remember the year but if I find the trophy it will be on there, also sadly on the same track saw a competitor lose his
life wasn't in the same race and didn't see the incident but saw the aftermath, rules regarding the floor in specials where changed after
the incident, his name escapes me, it shoulnt but it does.
