Quick question for those running 13inch wheels on thier MK
I was recently thinking about going from 15inch wheels to 13inch wheels, and I popped over to "pewe's" house the other nght to trial
fit a set.
Now I know about modding the handbrake caliper at the back, but I found that the wheels where fouling on the Track rod end at the front.
So a quick couple of question for those running 13's on their MK:
1)did you find 13's fouling the TRE's
2)did you have any fitment issues at the front?
3)have I just missed something stupid?
Cheers

I had 14" wheels on when I first built the Indy.
When I changed to 13" the triangular bit on the front of the TRE just touched the inside of the (newly refurbished wheels), so I relieved it
with an angle grinder.
They didn't seem to miss the tip of the triangle, but no doubt someone will be along in a minute to tell me it's safety critical?

I am not an expert at all
Has mine been put together incorrectly then. The picture below shows my TRE's with the "triangle" pointing backwards ?? So it
would not be affected by the wheel I guess. Probably I have got the complete wrong end of the stick as usual though - LOL

just got my 13" team dynamics delivered 2 weeks ago
the fronts fit fine over the wilwoods and the TRE
I havent tried the rear but I am aware of the handbrake spring problem, cant test either as the axel stands are in the way and the wheels have no
tyres on yet

Could be that the wheels have different offsets. Have you checked them?

Phil, sorry I did not get the offset - they were a pair of alloys that Pewe had, and I was tril fitting them before I spent ages hunting a set
down.
I have just been out to the garage and on my 15's I have just over an inch gap between the TRE and the alloy when the wheels are straight
ahead.
Out of interest what wheels adn what offset are you running?
Cheers

Just for everyone's information, the MK with MX5 uprights will not foul 13" with 38-40 offset. The handbrake is no problem either, except
it IS a little tight!
