First run in Indy (with videos)

Finally got my Indy out for a run (on a private bit of land) at work.

What a feeling after 2 years plus seems all worth while. Went like stink and I never got over 8k revs! Managed a cheeky run up the road so got it up to 5th.

Many thanks to all on here who have answered stupid questions and in general for the great knowledgebase this place is.

Few little niggles, a small oil leak and complete lack of self centering. Diff clunks a bit when taking up slack and nearly knocked the bloody exhaust off on the trailer!!! Three helpers and still buggered it up so some fettling there as bent the bracket.

IVA application next, just need to check emissions and cover all those pesky sharp edges.

Woohoo!

Its a home made effort . Used the 1.2mm Ali I had left over. cheapo cone filter.

Made it to fit onto the pipercross baseplate that was there but was very noisy. For IVA purposes decided to change it. Seems to run well with it fitted. Not much science behind it, hopefuly just common sense! Folded and rivetted by hand, bit of araldite.

Nice, really nice. I have been looking around for a while. Have not reach the point of building one yet, but yours looks pretty good.

Thanks

Haha....a coat of satin black covers a multitude of sins!

I may well switch back to a new pipercross later but at least have the option of this if a track days needs a low noise level.

If i can knock one up I am sure you can. Basically a base plate with slots cut out and bent to slot into he pipercross base plate. Side pieces bent and rivetted on and a top piece with the edges bent over and rivetted. I araldited right angle pieces internally so I could rivet through. Plenty of sealant and a coat of paint.
