Selling my MK Kit

I've been thinking for a while that I may sell my deluxe MK kit.

The car is sooooo close to being finished that I simply do not know what to do for the best.

Its got an R1 engine in it and runs and drives with all the plumbing, wireing clocks etc working... the problem is that for all good intentions I just never work on it and always work on the GTT... so realistically I am never going to finish it.

So bottom line is will I be able to sell the car as a near finished build or will I have to break it up to get any money back? and if so how much would the deluxe chassis kit be worth?

I'll give you a tenner for it!
As a 90% complete kit it's not worth loads of money, due to not being SVA'd. You'd probably make the most money breaking it and selling it as parts.

Keep the Indy and sell the GTT, can I get first shout as I gave you the idea!

Ill give you a tenner!

Agree with the others though, if your going to sell it, try and get it SVAd first even if you have to pay someone to do it, it will be worth so much more. Get it done before the summer and reap the profits!

Means you have a bit more money to spend on that lovely middy!

if you're thinking of dismantling it, you may as well finish it. Might take just as long to break as to complete?? maybe

So how much would an R1 Indy be worth complete and SVA'd?

I was thinking around £6-7k?

depending on how much the chassis kit sells for I'm not sure it would be worth paying someone to finish it!

I'm looking for just shy of 7K for my Indy Bird, but I need to sell it fairly quickly. You should be able to get similar money for yours, more when it's sunny.

you should easily get over 7k for it, especially if you can hold out a few more months for the good weather to start arriving! get it finnished! I bought mine in the nearly complete 90% state, and as soon as id finnished it and sva'd it the value would have gone up to around 5-6k! so nearly double!

If you are serious about selling tho, let me know a price as ive a friend looking at getting something similar for a track car!
