I started my R1 engine last night only had a little prob with the loom which OX soon new(its little things that when your so excited you dont concentrate properly as the wire I got wrong was black and looked exactly like it was supposed to go on the negative of the battery it even had the rubber boot cover when infact it was actually for the other sid eof the + relay).
thanks to chris for telling me which colour wires need modifying etc
the Engine fired up without hesitation
I even put my straight through Micron on for the occasion,,

Jesus what a noise
trust me to all those in prebuild status this is the biggest spur on ever Im going in the garage tonight till 3am in the morning.. its given me a new lease of life at 22!!!

answers in order

chris I would like it to be ready for tests in 6 weeks I am self employed so can dedicate time to it but sometimes I go into the garage and work on it and before I know it 6 hours have gone past

rob no probs glad youve received

mike remembe on the loom a plug will only go into the same plug but female version or vica versa they dont make any same connector usually

so just make sure most are accounted for use fresh petrol

they will take a few days about the switch mate

ta chris

Congratulations Chris.

Opposite way round for me. Best feelings;

1 - Engine firing up for first time
2 - First drive
3 - SVA pass

Phil
