hi guys i will be picking my indy up in 4 weeks or so and was starting to wonder about what wheels to get but i dont know what size to get, 15" or 17"? any preference? any help would be good cheers

15" or 13" really. Diddy sidewalls on 17" tyres are way too hard for a car that weighs so little. I don't even think 17" looks any good on a seven either

13's for the purist
15's for the compromise
17's for the bling

< 14" for the cheap skate.

Soon to be replaced with 13"s

As above, 13's or 15's really. If you intend to do track days then i'd go for the 13's with 60 profile tyres, but you may need to think more about the brakes especially if you want disks on the rear. Not sure if Sierra calipers fit the front either to be honest.

13" for me, lots of plus points including things such as second hand slicks for pennies, much cheaper tyres in general etc.

If you want disc's on the rear you need to hunt down wheels that will fit over the calipers.

go 15", ive got 17" on mine but mine is a viento and even the 17" look a bit small

I'm with Mike - 14" sierra steely's powder coated, then 13" compomotives when the tyres have worn out.

Whatever you do though, make sure you budget for good quality tyres - Toyo R888's seem to be the tyre of the moment.

Pezza - 29/8/08 at 08:23 PM

13x5.5 compomotive cxr's on my Indy with 185.60.13 boots.
11kg per corner which makes me happy

saigonij - 29/8/08 at 09:48 PM

im running 16" - buts thats because nothing smaller will fit over my 300 mm brake discs

A1 - 30/8/08 at 09:52 PM

ive got team dynamics prorace 2. 15x7.5s on mine with toyo r888 195.45.15...

MK chippy - 31/8/08 at 04:44 PM

Dave

you want the ford fitment pattern, Don't quote me on it but for some reason I think the PCD may be 110.

PAUL FISHER - 31/8/08 at 07:19 PM

Ive got 15"x 7" wide, pcd 108 and et 35,with 195 50 15 R888 SG's on the front,and 205 50 15 R888 standard compound on the rears.

saigonij - 31/8/08 at 08:23 PM

pcd is 108.

Kriss - 31/8/08 at 08:54 PM

15 Anthracite Powdercoated Team Dynamics 1.2's in 15

195.50.15 R888 front
205.50.15 R888 rear

disks all round

Everyone will think you're a chav more interested in bling than handling. Apart from that, fill yer boots

thats what i thought the reply would be! lol! thinking just 15" anyways because they will be cheaper then put the extra cash towards some better tyres
Cheers
