thanking you
B&Q sell all kinds, along with their strips of metal and tube etc. not sure on price, but i'm guessing less than £10, i mean, i bought a jig saw for less than a tenner yesterday lol
im just leaving for B&Q
oooh good stuff. not sure if they had the same style that halfords had, but there was quite a few different ones, including some snazzy gold one
let me say a few words about mesh.
proper mesh is woven wire; looks the best, has best air flow depensing on wire diameter and mesh square size but is the most expensive. Avalialbe in
stainless, mild, brass etc.
cheaper and nastier mesh is like that you have posted - sheet of metal with holes punched through or expanded mesh - slits made in metal sheet then
stretched to form holes - the latter being sold in B&Q.
Depensing on what size wire, opening size and material you need, those may suffice but for the proper stuff, you need to contact a proper mesh
fabricator. I have info, for 2 companines, slight problemo being they sell it by the sheet that is about 2 x 1 m in size hence not gonna be cheap if
you want a teensy bit.
You should phone and if you get the right person, they may be able to get smaller size, like what I did - good luck.
Most decorative mesh, like that in B&Q, seriously impedes airflow as the holes are only 20 - 30 % (ish) of the overall area.
B&Q and Homebase do grills for barbeques and Halfords sells chrome wire mesh as above.
Homebase bargains
