lower shock mount

can you please have a look at the pic below of the near side lower shock mount is this amount of packing one side and not the other OK. its the same on both sides Rescued attachment DSC00020.JPG

I would say it's ok - the alternative id to bend the shocker which is not a good plan.

Hi the damper should sit freely on it's bushes. It looks like you are still placing a strain on the the bushes/piston rod.

Also check that the outer end of the damper is not touching the bracket.

everything looks straight inclueding the damper..must be my dodgy camera work thanks for the input alan

Hi the damper is clearly not sat freely. As you can see from the picture that the top of the damper needs to be brought back toward the left at the top ( in the picture ) to place the damper at a right angle to the mounting bolt through the lower bush of the damper. There should be room on the top bracket to alighn the damper by spacing it back to the left ( in the picture ) at the top.
