Hi it was about 5years since i fitted mine but i think they were 13ins open unless some one know better

some thing about those coils look a bit OTT, like a 3rd more turns than the protecs supplied for my MK indi. The sizes of my coilovers are 332mm extended, 258mm compressed (as measured between the bolt hole centers, which are 12mm diameter holes. But I'd check first what the rating of those springs are as they look like they've come off something heavy.

ok folks thank you
might have to save for a bit longer and go to mk direct

Yes I even modelled them on cad...

I'd recommend the protec ones as their top quality

Mr Whippy, are your protec's all the same size, ie. are the fronts and backs the same or are they of different lengths?
PS I thought you avatar was of Stanley Baxter until I had a better look, I think I might need some new glasses.

Mr Whippy - 24/3/08 at 11:39 PM

the shockers are the the same length, only the springs are off different ratings.

your eyes I can not help you with though

Hi all the MK Indy's i have setup have 13" open length all round.

Although the set advertised will possibly fit a book locosts. As they use 12" front and depending on the rear desighn anything from 12"-14".

Cheers Matt
