Snap-off - 24/2/08 at 05:02 PM

Hi guys,
Made some progress on the build over the last few weeks.
Fitted side panels, seats and runners, nosecone and indicators (need extended), made and fitted battery tray, wing mirrors, harnesses, exhaust and modified cat.

Going to MK tomorrow to pickup bonnet, rear panel and wing brackets.

Question? Where can i get an aluminium steering column cover for the firewall? I have tried Casarva but they do not have any at the moment.

I really wanted a black car, but for safety reasons i put the brightest colours i could get into it. I will be putting some vinyl on it to blend in the colours.

Black is one of the most visible colours. Hence why the RAF have black training aircraft.

Unless thats only in the sky or on an airfiled?

Hmmm! Can you please slow down your build as i dont want to be the last to finish around here!

Yeh tell me about it!

Things take some much longer when you in a hurry!! Spent most of last week tripping over stuff on the floor in the garage because i have been doing too many late nights!!

And have you had from the other half "Are you going to spend some time with me?"

Its very hard trying to mix the building and spending time with the mother too be! But Getting it done before BUMP arrives will be the best option i think...

I think you will find thats because the sky is blue (normally anyway), therefore black stands out like a sore thumb, whereas on the road dark grey and black are some of the least visible colours. Especially through shadowy areas and at dusk.

Mind you, mine is bright yellow, and horribly loud, people still dont seem to see/hear me!

Anyway, Snap-off, very nice car you have there. Where abouts around KL are you?

David

All the time mate!
Also the rolleyes whenever I mention the car. Which i'm constantly told i'm more interested in.

Thanks, they are not the most courteous drivers around here, it gets worse nearer 'Wisbech'istan.
I live in Magdalen near Downham.
