Build Insurance

As my garage now totals over £5k of kit bits is it insured under my house hold policy or can I insure it through my car Insurance?

My house insurance covers items upto £2k but would they try and call it a car?

Cheers

With the Flux policy, you can upgrade to road risk and only be charged for the remaining part of the insurance.

I naievely thought that the component parts of my car were covered during builld under the household policy in the event of loss, but virtually all policies exclude them.
From memory the exclusion wording is: 'motor vehicles their parts or accessories.'
Lawn mowers are covered.

So, if for example if you go to Halfords, buy a car battery and put it on the shelf in your garage it is not covered.
But do the same thing with a torch attery and it will be.
Does anyone else know differently to this?
