MK Carbon Dash and SVA

Hi,

As per all my pre sva posts, any one had any experience of the new carbon MK dash failing sva etc?

put U-Trim on the BACK edge of the LOWER UNDERSIDE of the dash, thats one of the things he looked for on mine, and I didn't have it at first - of course between Mark and myself, I did two seconds later!

mine passed as it was without the U trim

youll find if he gets his hook shaped keyring it sits perfect on the dash

Its been cut down now, that picture was a long time ago!

Andy,

We cut out some carbon abs discs the same as the dash (out of the scrap bin) and drilled the centre of it and counter sunk some allen head bolts into it, we then bonded this to the rear of the dash with plumbers plastic solvent.

Drilled the scuttle in the correct positions, was a pain in the arse, had to make holes egg shaped etc due to the dash and scuttle being on a angle, and bolted up to the scuttle with some large repair washers.

I will look for some pictures for you.

I like the look of no fastenings.

what did you use to cut the holes??? i'm trying to put blackbird clocks/console in mine and not sure best way to go about it.....i've got a template and keep looking at it but won't cut a hole...........!!

Hole saw, i pinched the template of Ed on here and printed it in cad onto stick back A4 Paper and stuck into position and drilled through with a hole saw.

Measure twice cut once and all that!!
