If the Front Lower Wishbone is not handed can anybody tell me if this looks right?
When the top bolt is pulled up the shock needs gently pushed across into the wishbone bracket.
Am I being a bit too precious here and
should it be "persuaded" on into place?
Also...is the bottom joint on the rear shock the only
one that requires spacers?
cheers

Yes only the lower rear needs spacers.
Not sure whats going on with your front it looks miles out.
Steve
Both sides are the same.
It doesnt take a great deal of
pressure to put them in place but
it doesnt feel right. If that makes sense.
How close should the coils be to the leading arm of the upper wishbone.
With the shock fixed top and bottom
and the upper wishbone horizontal
I cannot pass the head of an M12 bolt
throught the gap. (across flats)

Hi bob,
Did you have to force your shocks into position or were they better aligned?
Cheers
Steve
Hello Steve
To be honest i just cant remember that far back,i took notes when building the car for future reference but cant find anything regarding this and i
know i would have put it in the folder.
I'll keep looking through my piles of notes(rubbish) and see if i can find anything.

I will have to speak to MK and get them
to confirm the measurement from the corner of the front top
tube to the centre line of the upper shock bracket.
The brackets on the lower wishbones look very symmetrical
so I suspect its the positioning of the upper shock brackets.
Which means my powder coated chassis is going for a roasting. bu&&er!
Thanks guys.
Another further info from anyone much appreciated.
Steve.

Have you fitted the steering rack yet ?
The reason i ask is that the rack/tie rod and track rods are one straight line on my car, this would deffinatly eliminate the bottom bone mount
possitions as wrong and point to the top mount.
Not yet, but I have all the bits and pieces necessary.
Will take a look at that.
Thanks.
Steven
From memory the shocks on mine lined up pretty easy.
Stu
With the shock and upper wishbone removed the offset is slightly over 10mm
when measuring from the outer face of the lower bracket to the outer face on the upper bracket.
Anybody else shed any light on this?
