I just took delivery of a Deluxe kit th eother week and are now fiting it together to make sure nothing is missing. Is the brake pedal supose to look like this (see picture in next post)? I was expecting the little thing with the hole down at the pivot to be on the other side...

I also have some trubble with the joint for the front top wishbone. It will not screw in. The other one works fine on both sides, the bad one does not go in on either so the joint is probobly crap. Do any one know from what car it is? I suppose it is originaly a steering joint...
I have the oval wishbone.
I was hoping to pick a new one up after work tomorrow.

Not sure if this is right, but do both of the top joints have the same thread or is one left handed?

It is the same thread. The bad one goes in about an inch then it stops. The other one goes all the way when tried in the same wishbone. When I look at the threads the look strange. Not damaged but stranged. I guess I have got one of the bad parts...

Can you post a pic of this 'strange' bit? Might help solve the problem. Also, do you have a large nut or something with the same thread that you could use as a die to sort it out?

I have a large nut that I have used to try cleaning the threads but it does not help. The nut is also jaming. When I look closely at the threads they look a bit strange at the top. Not damaged but unsymetrical.
Good the pedal is ok. How do I suppose to attach the pushrod to the pedal?

What year Ford Transit are we talking about?

Hi I bought a brake clevis (about 3.50) which had a threaded end. I then used a small length of threaded bad into the clevis and rounded obver so it fit the brake master cylinder. The clevis the just bolts through the brake pedal abot 6mm from the bottom so that it operates the new push rod.

If you do a search on here there are already some good pics and diagrams.

I put a piece of 3mm ally plate under the bolt head to spread the load
The bolt behind the clutch pedal is a stop to limit pedal travel essential in my opinion on a BEC to stop to much strain on cable and also so as you don't go over the cam on the clutch arm. there is also one on the throttle pedal
