Be careful when using RAL codes to buy paint to do a gel coat finish. Gel coat can come out slightly different to std. if you want very good match it might be worth getting a bodyshop to match it.
Contrasting colour sounds interesting option.

when i bought my bonnet mk told me they only do one type of blue

Hellfire - 25/5/06 at 11:30 AM

They must have been kidding, unless you bought your bonnet a long time ago

graememk - 25/5/06 at 11:39 AM

i bought it 2 months ago, must be good luck then as its a good match

I took a bit of GRP down to the paint suppliers and they matched it for me. Who would guess that Mitsubishi monza red would be the best match. Gel coat does vary somewhat.
