any onw know how many turns i should turn the adjusters on my rear shocks to get a normal ride height? want to attach my arches but need to get right height first, plus anyone know the distance from ground and outer edge for my brake and indicator lights?

oh and where do i put my refelectors?

Kev, the adjusters won't affect your ride height. They only control the damping effect. The spring platforms adjust the ride height.

You can fit your arches without adjusting anything.

I'll check the positions of lights in SVA manual.

sorry i meant the spring adjusters! just want to get the height right don't want my arches stuck miles above my wheels!!

Rear position lamps must be minimum of 350mm from ground and a maximum of 400mm from side.

Reflector must also be within 400mm from side of vehicle.

you arches can only go in one postition the front edge is flush with the lower edge of the side panel and the rear of the arch is flush with the rear panel,,,on my r1 the spring adjusters were as low as they would go,just make sure you wheel is in the middle of the arch and adjust the height later

I would suggest leaving the springs on their softest setting to start with. Don't forget that you need a bit of distance between the rear arch and tyre to allow for travel.

If you fit the arch so that front is at bottom edge of side panel and rear is at bottom edge of back panel you won't be far out.

being cheeky now ,but you haven't got a measurement from the top of the arch to the bottom of the rollbar plate? and whats best way to fasten arches on? load spreading washers used obviously!

Kev, we set rivnuts into the chassis rails for the front fixings on the side panel and just nuts, bolts and washers for the rear fixings on the rear panel. Distance between top of arch and roll bar plate is............... (Hang on I'll go and measure)

While we are on the subject of dampers, do we have the damping twiddly nobs on the inside or the outside, my thought is the inside so you can get at them with the wheels on, but presuming is not always the way.

Nuts and bolts with washers will be fine Kev. We'd already trimmed the interior of the side panels before fitting them, so rather than have visible fixings, decided to set rivnuts in the chassis rails. This way, it makes them very easy to remove if one should get damaged.

Ultimately, the fixings are dependant on how you intend to finish the interior side panel.
