GT-R handbrake
wheezy - 19/9/05 at 08:05 PM

Hi,
I dont know how many GT-R builders there are out there but hopefully someone will have an idea on how to fit the sierra handbrake cable. If I didnt have the engine the cable would fit perfectly, however the engine will be fitted at some point.
The problem is that the left cable no matter where I route it will rub against the engine gearbox.
If anyone has the answer please let me know.
Dave

Have you already tried MK Engineering?

No not yet. I thought I would try and see if there were any other builders out there as we seem to be a bit scarce on the ground!!

MK have a GT-2 in their workshop so best ask them.

Still a long way to go. Most of the panelling is done and the brake lines and suspension are fitted. I was hopeing to drop the engine in for a trial fit when my new sump arrives but I will wait until I can get the handbrake cable problem resolved.

How you doing ?

I can take a few pics of my GT1 handbrake set up if you wish, would be pretty much the same i guess, rear engined with engine too negotiate ? Trouble is a few bits have move a little in the shunt.
