You may not be able to see the kite mark - but it is there

Northy - 26/3/05 at 06:35 PM

You'll be at Harewood tomorrow then?

mookaloid - 26/3/05 at 06:46 PM

Yes I'll be at Harewood, I needed the screen to be eligible for the kit car class.

You going Graham?

Northy - 26/3/05 at 06:51 PM

The Avons up on axle stands, and I'm full of cold. If I feel better I may call in, otherwise I 'll be there next time.

Hi Mark- Unfortunately I will not be going To Harwood Tomorrow I have been to Elvington today and need to pay my debt ie Gardening. While I was at Elvington I had the good fortune to meet tony mk blade and paul they seem to be wiping all the other cars up including a Nissan skyliner and a westfield plus many others. Graham

Yeah, but they're a bit low

santcliff - 17/5/05 at 12:24 PM

Must update avtar......

Excellent work from the boys north of the border. The screen came in a wonderful crate with all the necessary domed nuts etc. It took about two hours of thinking, bending and fitting time (The uprights require a kind of bendytwist to fit the car. It requires a bit of muscle to tweak the stainless and a bit of thinking to work out which way)

People pre-SVA will have to think about the edges on the uprights, I don't know if just edging them will be enough. I would suggest running through the SVA prior to fitting the screen.

now for some wipers and new mirrors...

Life with a screen is going to be so much more comfortable.

Stuart

Batman - 28/5/05 at 05:30 PM

Hello Pat,

fitted the windscreen this morning, and it fitted like a glove..
not only does it look the business but it keeps a lot of windblast off you. even my mum had a ride in it.. will have to post some photos.
Many thanks guys, I would recommend it to anyone with a naked Indy.

what has anyone done for wipers etc ?

Cheers Batman

skidmark - 17/6/05 at 10:50 AM

Fitted my winscreen also - looks great and is a BIG improvement! .

Also fitted wipers (morris minor arms as they're adjustable in length and mini solid blades can be bent to fit) - I've added a couple of pics to my photo archive.

Howewer, being a wimp, I think I'm still going to have to sort out some sidescreens for those long journeys - any plans for these in the near future mangroveworkshop?

mangogrooveworkshop - 18/6/05 at 10:21 PM

Nice windscreen attached to a very very clean MK.....Sidescreens are in development. Rescued attachment Kit_Car_1.JPG

Mookaloid.. Where'd you get your diagonal roll bar brace. the one that goes from the bar to the passenger footwell?
i am going to do some sprinting and hillclimbing next year and am thinking about fitting one of these. It looks like it just bolts onto the bar, how easy is it to remove for passengers.
cheers
Paul

Full screens r for wimps n wot
do they do for your aerodynamics,
must be like throwin out an anchor over the side!

macspeedy - 10/1/06 at 08:40 AM

"Full screens r for wimps n wot

the aerodynamics are fairly poor anyway i can't see it making much difference, also stops the helmet from trying to be prised off your head
