Hello
A pal of mine has built a new MK Indy 2015 with a 2 ltr Zetec all supplied by MK, had a look at it today and the passenger side footwell is about a
foot shorter than mine, mine is a 2006 chassis.
Had a look under the bonnet at the other side and cannot see any reason for it, are they all like this now ?
I've been thinking about getting another kit and noticed that too.
Suppose it means the battery can be mounted much lower without being under the passengers feet...
really uncomfortable having your legs bent all the time, I am 5 ft 10 in and I wouldn't like to think I was spending much time as a passenger
Sounds like the striker. You dont loose leg room as you dont have pedals on pass side

^^^ May be mistaken, but the above looks like an Indy R chassis to me, not the older Indy. I built an Indy some years ago and the driver and passenger legroom was the same. I put the battery above the passenger's feet and it may have been better lower down, but didn't spoil the car for me. Having sufficient passenger legroom was more important for me.
That's a long way back I fitted a battery in that position, but it was only half of that length back. As loggyboy said, I put the panel the
same as the pedals.

It may be done like that on the BEC chassis to allow the engine to go further back, are the CEC chassis the same?

Does look along way back, massive reduction in leg room!
I wouldn't swap my 2006 chassis for my mate 2015 Zetec one that's for sure, I wouldn't be able to walk after spending 20 mins out in that
I am sure Danny would put it where you wanted when ordering the chassis
And if not it's a small job to move it.
