At the moment i am using a 3" inlet manifold for the twin 45 weber dcoes on the pinto in my Indy. This means the trumpets or filters wont fit on because of the top chassis rail. Burtons do a 1" manifold that is basically a plate. Has anyone fitted one of these on a pinto? i cant see any problem with doing o, except the carbs which were set up for the engine will need slight retuning. Also means the filters wont stick out the bonnet like i wanted them too, but i will have to live with that!
My manifold 'kicks up' a bit and so clears the chassis rail - I had 3 manifolds at build time and only one did this.
Unfortunately there are no markings on it so i can't tell you who makes it but knowing that they exist is half the battle!
My filters stick out of the bonnet too!

Guess you could machine it to change the angle? Not sure what effects that would have on flow etc. so don't do it till you've checked it
with someone who (unlike me!) knows what they're talking about!

no good 40's and 45's have a different mounting flange

IIRC this has been dicussed before and the thought was that you could get a wedge shaped plate machined to fir between the head and the manifold thus giving you the angle required.
