Any pictures of aeroscreen?
sebastiaan - 6/10/04 at 02:42 PM

Hi,

Has anyone got pictures of the MK "double bubble" aeroscreen fitted to their indy? I'm thinking of getting one, but am not sure how they look once fitted to the car....

Cheers,
Sebastiaan

Here's a picture of an MK that I saw at Donnington with the double bubble aeroscreen.

there is a fair bit of difference between the mk item and the one from westfield. the mk one is a lot shallower but on the major plus side it's about 100 quid cheaper than the westie one

OK, thanks guys!

Think i'm gonna go full windscreen. I like the look of the Westfield aeroscreen, but the price is a bit (...) steep IMHO. Unfortunately the MK item doesn't look quite right to me. Maybe at a steeper angle it would.

Does any1 know if the westfield ones need much work to make fit? Cheers

hi Crazy jay u2u Andy w he is fitting a west field screen tonight jacko

Make that still fitting. The westfield one has four 6mm studs that are part of the aeroscreen, because of the length of the studs it's fairly tricky to work out hole positions. Westfield also can't position the studs symmetrical which dosent help. I have cut the side studs off and am going to use the mirrors to sandwhich it in place. I've had a trial fitting and it seems to follow the body quite well. I think it will look good, but I still think the price is steep.

Westfield screen fits ok but they are more than £100 more.......they cost £275!

I got an MK aeroscreen last weekend and got it fitted. I don't think it looks as good as the Westfield aeroscreen, but I couldn't bring myself to pay that much for one!

BTW Playskool (sp?) sell one very similar to the Westfield one, only no transparent bit at the top for about 90quid apparently.

The MK one has reduced the amount of wind, compared to no screen at all, but not by an incredible amount.
I'll post pics of the MK one fitted (hopefully) tomorrow.

All the best
Ali
