As above, am interesting in seeing other GT1's (i know there can only be a handful left)
Want ideas of what people have done to theirs and ideas for colourschemes
And I want a set of bodywork if anyone's got one.
i have a set of moulds . . . . . .

no one else got one?!
Hi.
I have got a GT1 in Singapore. It's been a near 10 year on and off project but is just about ready to test. I fitted a fuel injected Fireblade
engine. When I started building it I painted it dark silver which was a mistake. I'm having the body painted white at the moment, when it's
finished I'll post some pics.
Cheers.
Andy
You say the dark grey was a mistake, why do you say that?
Thanks
Chris
It just looks a bit dull and I think white will be a better base for any graphics.
I have just tried to download a couple of pics but don't seem to have the technology sorted,
can anybody tell me how it's done please?
Cheers.
Andy

I think it only looks plain because its not complete, there are no lights fitted and no graphics or colour highlights, as a base colour I think that
looks cool. I definately wouldnt repaint it

I like it.
Is typical though as I'm just in the process of painting mine Porsche grey/black!
Was going for black wheels and as much carbon as I can get my hands on!
Will put some sort of graphics on it once I am happy but I love the colour
Does need a rear wing though
I've got a wing which will go on once its painted. Hopefully by next weekend.
I've added some more pics to my archive. I can't seem to load them onto this page.
Superb

looks great in both colours!
Here is mine, is looking a bit sorry for itself at the moment as i am prepping it for its respray over the next few days!
I will put up some pictures once all sprayed up but have spent a fair while tidying the bodywork, the wheels have been taken of so i can refurb them
also.
She will also be wearing some rather nice carbon goodies from carbonman once i get some more designs to him.
If you need anything in carbon give him a u2u his work is top notch!!
Some more pics in here if anyone wants to see what ive been up to:

GTR. Yours looks great.
I'm hoping to take mine to the final round of the Singapore Karting Championships at the Marina Bay F1 Circuit. I've been asked to display
it and hopefully I can do some demo runs. If I can I'll put it on youtube and post a link.
Andy
If its your first time driving the car on track take some time to get used to it. I understand the GT1 can be VERY lively, especially the rear end
with so much power. I would keep the rear suspension fairly soft to start with and stiffen it up gradually as you explore the handling and
performance.
Let us know how you get on, you might find this interesting

Steve, (i am assuming that its you) you are on the money with the back end being lively if too stiff.
The first time i drove it it caught me out a little bit and ended going far too sideways for my liking.
We since softened the rear up by 8 clicks and it is much better, once the camber and geo is sorted it should be a lot better.
Since the change the rear end has felt a lot more stable and this is with the road yoko a539's on it. With the 888's it should be quite
good.
i am not going to do a track day until the weather starts to improve but i have got a full palmersport day voucher so will be doing that before i take
the little toy out am going to drive it up as a friend of my gfs family works there so am hopefully going to get a bit of tuition in it first.
I am not going to bother playing with the power too much until i am comfortable with the car (bar a quickshifter and mapping my power commander in at
the same time).
Have you thought of joining the Spire OC? Im sure you would be welcome since the Spire GTR was developed from the MK GT1. They organise some good
track days, usually at Silverstone and I'm sure you would pick up some usefull set up and development info.
Cheers
Steve
I would also have a word with Jon Ison on here for set up advice, he raced one in the RGB, so knows his stuff on the GT1.
That's a good shout tbh Steve, had not thought of it. Will probably join over the weekend.
Thanks Paul will give him a shout when it comes around to me setting the car up!
The painting is halfway there - cant wait until the final colour is on
Then i can start putting it back together with the carbon bits when they turn up from Carbonman
slightly off topic, where abouts are you gtr_garner i've never seen a gt1 up close

That's looking great. Can't wait to see it finished.
I'm entering mine in an autotest this weekend, having some new tyres fitted today.
Andy
looking good, keep it up
Well I went with the majority vote - what do we think?
The guy with the carbon wasn't able to come today unfortunately in the end so they will be added next week or so.
It needs lowering but I can't put it lower sensibly for the road. Will be on the floor on track
Looking good, you must be itching to get it on the track
That looks very nice!
just picked up myself a mk gt1 in gray and orange you will find it on google images, and have a set of molds for her. its 05 plate and what a fast car.
