Hi
Can anyone tell me if the rear risers for the mk (disc type) will take the 4x4 hubs? Or do you use different shafts. I have a set of bolted shafts
which came with the LSD . I also have a set of push in shafts but not sure if they fit the diff. The push fit shaft hubs fit the rear risers ok.
I've got bits everywhere, I am sure I have the lot but just need to get it all to match
the rear uprights on the Indy are different for disc configuration, I believe there are only 2 types so if you have bought the disc ones you should be okay
Im not sure if the Indy-R is different but I have xr4x4 hubs and shafts at the rear
I have 4x4 hubs and shafts on my indy r
You can use the complete rear axle from the 4x4 but you need to remove the ABS rings from the stub shafts to get them to fit through the carriers.

Hello
Cheers for the feedback. I have the Indy. At the moment I only have the rear risers for the drum brake fitment. I think the only difference between
the risers is the position of the caliper when bolted up. I.e. The backplate is rotated t position the caliper towards the rear of the car. Can you
guys see any other differences?
Also when you use the 4x4 hubs do you just use the original sierra disc with caliper on the original fitting from the car?
Rog
Rog there are other differrences photo shows disc upright, cheers D

Cheers for the picture D. I can see some differences. Are they as you bought them from mk? There appears to be a cut out in the web on one side which I presume is for the caliper? Are the wishbones the same for the 2 differenct uprights? I was looking at your other pics there. What hubs did you use?
Rog, yeah the piccy is as they come for disc set up. Wishbones are the same & as you say the cut out is for the calliper clearance.
Your best bet if using the xr4 hubs, brakes etc would be to source disc uprights or doctor your drum ones. as said by Phil shafts will clera through
the carrires if you deal with the ABS rings.
most using the drum upright will be using the drum hub, which is different from the disc, and use adapter plates to mount the calliper.
cheers D
Cheers D, I recon I am guna go with the 4x4 hubs and shafts. I don't think it's to bad of a job to mod the risers I have. I have a set of
drum shafts but fancy using the full kit off the 4x4.
With the 4x4 set up I can use the original discs ect. I was told by mk that you use mondeo discs with the drum hub set up? Is that what you used?
Rog
yep if you don't mind modding the uprights go for it, unless Mk will do you a swap deal. On one of the cars I used the complete disc set up off
the 2.0DOHC and yep as mk say I belive the mondeo discs will do.
cheers
D
with the other drum/disc conversion used standard sierra rear discs
