Hows this
It was spot on, based on measurements MK gave me.
Never touched anything even on full lock
f flexi
6" from bottom. 2.5" from fron edge
*Edited to say,They need to be fixed to the body*

I used a support bracket from the chassis onto the body side to give more rigidity to stop the panel flexing. Best to use a piece of flexible tubing as a mock up before drilling anything to check for clearance on tyre.
flexi onto the side panel like that has been a fail for a long while.
So is a hole with a grommet. It was one of AshG's iva fail points.
what was acceptable ?

Like mine? Why?
I located my flexi fixed through side panel, as I think this is the neatest solution! Although a failed IVA overall this passed fine. But its all down to the testers discretion.
I was concerned about this too. Had a chat with Dunk3 at Stoneleigh about his car in general and asked about brake lines through the side panel. His
passed ok with the brakes like this at IVA (correct me if I'm wrong dunk3!) so it must be down to the IVA examiner's interpretation.
I welded in an extra bracket to support the joint on mine without the need for a grommet.
Hopefully it'll be ok at IVA!
