Ive been thinking about building a kit since first visiting the Stoneleigh show in 1995 but have never had the time, money, space, inclination
etc......
Im now in a position to 'scratch the itch' and have recently bought a part built MK Indy. The kit is probably 50% complete and has been
built to a decent standard using a lot of new parts and seems like a good starting point.
Should be collecting at the weekend and I am really looking forward to having a good look at what Ive bought and sifting through the boxes of bits
that the seller has included in the sale.
Anyway Ive spent the past week looking through various threads on here, found loads of good information and wanted to say hi as Im sure Ill be asking
loads more questions over the next few months.
Welcome on board.
Welcome, this is THE place for your answers to everything!
Search first though, the MK's are well supported a;ready.
And nice to have another "local" Whereabouts are you?
Colin
Welcome, Locostbuilders is a invaluable resource!
Hello and welcome to the greatest kit car Forum on the planet, noobie! An MK kit is a great starting place (but you would have been better building
from scratch than trying to pick up from where someone else left off). (In my humble opinion of course).
Try and get some photos of the build up to the current point, also you will probably need to produce reciepts for the main parts - are you getting the
V5 of the donor vehicle? These items are quite important when it comes to IVA and registration. You need to prove to the IVA that you built it
yourself - hence the photos.
Other than that, you will find that putting your location in your profile can be useful - people can come round and take the p*ss, -sorry, help you
etc.
Above all, enjoy the rest of the build, and don't rush - there are guys on here who have been building their contraptions for over 10 years!
Good luck, Steve.
welcome to the forum, as stated above, this website is an invaluable source of information!
where about in leicestershire are you, have you thought about going to one of the meets and riding shotgun with someone?

Hi and welcome to the nut
Enjoy the build and ask plenty.

Thanks everyone.
Im located in Kegworth, inbetween Leicester and Nottingham. Is there an East Midlands kit car club that meets regularly?
Welcome to the forum. Did you buy this one by any chance?

Buy an MX5
much easier than building "lego kits" that an incredible amount of builders of KIT cars on here are uncapable off
and will NEVER finish
Sad i know, but true

Good to hear that Davie,
appologies to any one ive offended
steve
I think he's onto something. I went with the piecemeal approach to my grand disappointment. A complete MX5 donor is the way to go, and cheaper by a mile.
??????????????
This one by chance?
Description
If so., it looks a good buy to me and you should have that up and runing in no time
No, unfortunatly there's not much of specific kit meets in the East Midlands any more, though Ashby Folville gets a good unorganised turnout
